For a chance to win the Outback gift card, add your comments on books you read in 2014 and would recommend. The winner will be drawn at random. As you can see, I'm an eclectic reader and all these books are worth reading. I got a strong dose of the marvelous Robyn Carr last year.
This completes the list of 2014 books read and a peek at the start of 2015. Happy Reading!

Keep reading, Diane. Books give us alternate lives.
DeleteThe Heist by Daniel Silva. As usual with Silva's work, this 14th book in the series was well written. But this one was predictable in that various characters, locations and incidents seemed repetitious. After 13 previous novels using the same protagonist fighting the same battles for the same cause, how could it not be?
ReplyDeleteAlso read The Design Is Murder. Ha!
Love that Gabriel Allon. I have a hunch he looks a lot like Daniel Silva. What do you think?

DeleteYes, good guess, Patty re Silva and Allon looking alike. Could very well be. Fiction does tend to be autobiographical, doesn't it? And BTW, I misunderstood your initial question. I thought you were asking readers what they had read from YOUR list. Since I go through a book a week or so, my list is lengthy! The stellar reads for the year, though were The Goldfinch and The Crystal Castle.
DeleteThanks for the recommendations, Jean.
DeleteThe Burning Room by Michael Connolly. This is one of his Harry Bosch books. Love them! And--a new TV series about Harry Bosch is in the works. So glad.
ReplyDeleteBeyond Words--Diane O'Key
Design is Murder--Jean Harrington
Once A Marine--Patty Campbell
J A Jance--Ring in the Dead
J D Robb--Thankless in Death
Nora Roberts--Cousins O'Dwyer Trilogy
Kristan Higgins--In Your Dreams
Susan Elizabeth Phillips--Heroes Are My Weakness
And I could go on and on. I LOVE to read!!!
Keep writing your books, Lynn, and I'll keep reading them.
DeleteI have read a lot of contemporaries this year. I love Robyn Carr. But you read my favorite of the year- In Your Dreams by Kristan Higgins. Loved it!!
ReplyDeleteMy New Year's Resolution is to keep a journal of the books I read-because I read so many I can't remember them all.
I think we should organize a march on Kristan Higgins and demand that she write faster.

ReplyDeleteMazerunner, & The Scorch Trials by James Dashner
Commanding Fate by Kayla Payeur
Tunneling for Revenge by Travis Sharpe

ReplyDeleteI don't have an actual reading list just yet, because I work at a library and have a lot of time to read...usually.
ReplyDeleteI do want to read some good paranormal books this year, including shape-shifters. I also want to read some good LGBT books. Maybe even a cookbook if I'm feeling ambitious.

Ana, My list is books I've already read. I just grab whatever book strikes my interest, and put it on the list when I ready to move on to the next one. Lucky you, working in a library. That's where the books are!
